Our hearts are bleeding badly, we miss you all so sadly…

September, the month we won't forget

Remember, the wake up call we'd get

A lovely morning, crisp clear sky, a hopeful sun, the air…filled with hopes and dreams

Little did we know more than the sun would burn, taking precious lives with desperate schemes

The Eleventh of September, the day we will remember

We won't forget our heroes, who fought war on Ground Zero

We’ve lost our claim to innocence, it made no sense, blood stains our own soil

We lie in grief and disbelief, our blood burns sky-scraping-high, it's at a boil

Every day since we've grieved in pain, schemed our own schemes…get back the ones to blame

But deep inside we know the truth, revenge alone can't yield our needed change

We're still in shock, in so much pain, trying to figure out with time who's right, what's wrong

Our world's blowin' up to pieces, seems we haven't heeded our own words to our own song

America, the Beautiful…It was, still is, so blessed to call it home

But desperation wails, and fails us all, when all don't have enough to call their own

Since that day in 2001 the world seems so much smaller, so much colder

Hurt leads to pain, and rage to arms, but our world, she just needs our arms for us to hold her

Though we all may not have known you, we mourn you, you're our family

Though they may be blamed we're all the same, we've got to face and call and right all the wrongs we've done

The blaming game, and war's the same, we know in our heart of hearts, never will be won

We need empathy, compassion and one-love between sisters, brothers, daughters and our sons

Our enemies, their families, our countries and our world, we've got to know we're one

Though it's hard to do, to live the truth of brother-hood, for all, not just for some

We've got enough land, food and fuel for all, one thing we need to grow is of is our human love

The Eleventh of September, the day we will remember

Though our eyes may not keep crying, we won't let your dreams crash with your dying

We'll all live better for you, we so much all adore you

Though your fates were so insane, your lives won't be in vain…and this we can assure you

When we go beyond September, let's make sure we remember

to see all God's precious people to be each other's equal,

And see each other clearly, love one another dearly,

not 'as if' we're the same, or no one is to blame, but with love, because we're family.

So, please, Heroes know we'll miss you, when we put our love out for you

to our world that's so in danger, we'll all use your love to change her

We will heed your spirit voices to guide us in our choices

Let your spirit-voices sing, from Sea to Shining Sea, with us to our World-family…
